Chickpea & Oat Crackers

Give these delicious spiced crackers a go, prepare on Sunday for the week ahead and store in container for on the go home-made snacks.

Ideal for toddlers 1yo+

Serves: 30 crackers

YOU WILL NEED

  • 400g cooked chickpeas

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 2 tbsp LSA (optional)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • Pinch of salt

METHOD

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees on fan bake. Line a tray with baking paper and set aside.

  • Rinse and drain your chickpeas, place in a food processor and blend until smooth.

  • Add the rolled oats, continue to blend followed by the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.

  • Shape the dough into cracker shaped pieces and place on the baking tray.

  • Place in the oven for 20 minutes or until golden.

  • Keep an eye on the crackers and be sure to flip the crackers over at the half way point.
